Traditional Ratatouille Recipe | Easy and Delicious
Have you ever wondered what the iconic dish from Pixar’s Ratatouille movie would taste like? Today at Takrecipe, we bring you the recipe for making this gorgeous and tasteful dish. Ratatouille is a masterpiece of French cuisine. This is a dish of stewed vegetables, and cooking methods vary widely depending on the region, but the main ingredients of all of them are tomato, zucchini, and eggplants.

|Medium Roma tomatoes||3|
|Red bell pepper||1|
|tomato paste||1 tbsp|
|olive oil||6 tbsp|
|Parmesan cheese||100 g|
|Salt||1 tsp (or to taste)|
|Ground black pepper||½ tsp (or to taste)|
|Garlic powder||½ tsp|
|Turmeric (optional)||1 tsp|
Cut the zucchinis and eggplants into thin and approximately one-millimeter round slices. Toss them into a large mixing bowl and add four tablespoons of olive oil, Parmesan cheese, salt, and ground black pepper. Stir and shake the zucchinis and eggplants to get coated with the batter.
To prepare the ratatouille sauce, dice the onions into thin and small pieces and sauté them with a little oil in a suitable pan until they are completely caramelized. Then grate the garlic cloves and add them to the pan.
Add turmeric and continue sautéing until the onion and turmeric become uniform. Then coarsely chop the bell pepper and add it to the pan and sauté until they become cooked.
Next, add tomato paste to the pan and sauté it well until the rawness of tomato paste is taken. Then add thyme, basil, and half a cup of water and stir until the ingredients are completely incorporated. Then blend it with a hand blender or a food processor.
Then remove the pan from the heat. Now choose a pan and smoothly spread the sauce into the bottom of the pan with a spatula.
Cut the tomatoes into thin slices, like the zucchinis and eggplants, and lay out the sliced veggies in an alternating sequence. Be sure to put the vegetables tightly to avoid falling apart while cooking.
Preheat the oven to 180 Celsius or 350 Fahrenheit.
Then mix the remaining olive oil with a bit of garlic powder and black pepper and generously brush it on the vegetables.
Cover the pan with foil and cook in the oven for an hour. Then remove the foil and roast it for 30 to 40 minutes. Your ratatouille is ready now. Plate a piece for yourself, garnish it with the sauce and a sprinkle of herbs and parmesan, and serve it hot. Enjoy your meal!
