Tabbouleh salad is one of the most delicious and famous Levantine salads prepared with various ingredients. Ingredients for four people
Bulgur wheat½ cup
Spring onion½ cup
Parsley1 ½ cup
Hot water¾ cup
Lemon juice2 tbsp
Olive oil3 tbsp
Salt2 tsp (or to taste)
Ground black pepper1 tsp (or to taste)

Tabbouleh Salad Recipe

Step 1

To prepare tabbouleh salad traditionally, wash and rinse the bulgur and put it in a suitable bowl. Then pour one tablespoon of olive oil on the bulgur and mix well until they are combined.

Step 2

Next, add three-quarters of a cup of hot water and put the lid on the container. The important thing about this step is that you have to leave the bulgur in this state to soak for 15 minutes so that it becomes tender and easier to digest.

Step 3

Wash and dice the cucumber and tomatoes into small chunks and add them to a suitable mixing bowl.

Step 4

Then finely chop the spring onions and parsley and add them to the salad bowl.

Step 5

After 15 minutes, drain the excess water from the bulgur and add the soaked bulgur to the salad bowl.

Step 6

To prepare the salad dressing, combine the lemon juice with the remaining olive oil in a suitable bowl, add some salt and ground black pepper to the ingredients and whisk them well.

Step 7

Pour the dressing on the salad and stir well to thoroughly mix and marinate the ingredients with the sauce. Finally, put the salad in the refrigerator to chill, and then you can serve. This salad can pair up with beef and fish. We hope you try this and enjoy it.
