Simple Potato Cutlet Recipe | Easy and Delicious

Potato Cutlet Recipe
Wash and scrub the potatoes and place them in a pot filled with two cups of water. Place the pot on medium-high heat and let the potatoes simmer to get fork tender.
Once boiled, you can peel the potatoes easily by scoring around the potato and taking the peel off. Then grate them in a mixing bowl. You can also mash the potatoes with a masher, a fork, or a potato ricer to get a more uniform texture. Let them cool down.
Peel and wash the onion and garlic and grate them with a fine grater. You should squeeze the juice out of them and add them to the bowl containing potatoes.
Add the grated mozzarella cheese, mayonnaise or French dressing, eggs, two tablespoons of bread crumbs, salt, black pepper, and turmeric to the bowl and mix the ingredients well with a spoon or hand. You can also season it with garam masala, coriander powder, red chili powder, or cumin powder.
At this stage, you should knead the cutlet mixture for a few minutes until it becomes sticky. If the cutlet mixture is too firm and hard, you should add another egg and mix it so that the mixture becomes sticky.
Put a suitable pan on medium heat and pour two to three tablespoons of frying oil into it. Let the oil reach 175 Celsius or 350 Fahrenheit. You can also make these cutlets with deep frying or bake them in a 175 Celsius air fryer or oven if you want to stay away from frying oil.
Pick a small amount of the potato mixture, about the size of a small tangerine, and shape it into a flattened round or oval shape with about one-centimeter thickness. You can also pour the mixture into the pan to cook all at once in the form of a single large cutlet.
Set the patties in the bread crumbs to get coated on both sides. Then carefully place them on the pan to get fried. Fry them on each side for about 3 to 4 minutes or until they get a crusty and golden-brown layer.
Once you have fried all the cutlets, place them on a towel or a rack to drain the excess oil. Place them in your desired dish and serve them with ketchup, pickled cucumber, and fresh herbs. Enjoy your meal!
