Milk Halwa Recipe
Milk Halwa is one of the types of simple international Halwa that you can make with various recipes. This halwa combines all-purpose flour, milk, sugar, vegetable oil, and butter.
Ingredients for four people | |
All-purpose flour | 1 cup |
Milk | 2 cup |
Sugar | 1 cup |
Vegetable oil | ¼ cup |
Butter | ¼ cup |
ground saffron | ⅛ tsp |
rose water (Golab) | ½ cup |
Milk Halwa Instructions
Step 1
Pour milk and sugar into a pot and put it on low heat until the sugar dissolves in the milk. (No need to boil the milk)
Step 2
After the sugar dissolves, add ground saffron and rose water and mix, then take the pot off the heat.
Step 3
Place a pan on low heat and add all-purpose flour, then sauté it gently for 30 minutes until the color of the flour changes slightly.
Step 4
After 30 minutes, sift the flour and pour it into the pan. Add liquid oil and butter and fry slowly until the flour does not form a lump.
Step 5
Add milk and sugar mixture to the pan in 4 steps and mix. It would be best if you patiently sautéed the halwa until it separates from the pan walls.
Step 6
After the halva becomes solid, take it out of the pan and put it in the dish you want, then decorate it with slivered pistachios and serve.
