Tas Kabob Recipe
Tas Kabob or Tas Kebab is one of the famous dishes in the Middle East. This dish combines beef or lamb, potatoes, onions, carrots, and tomatoes.

Lamb or beef | 500 g |
medium onion | 2 |
medium carrot | 2 |
Medium potatoes | 2 |
medium tomato | 4 |
Garlic cloves | 2 |
Black pepper powder | 1 tsp |
Turmeric powder | 1 tsp |
Paprika powder | 1 tsp |
Garlic powder | ½ tsp |
Coriander seed powder | ½ tsp |
cumin powder | ½ tsp |
cinnamon powder | 1 tsp |
Salt | 1.5 tsp |
Lemon juice | 2 tbsp |
Vegetable oil | 4 tbsp |
Tas Kabob Recipe
Step 1
Peel the onions and cut them into slices, then pour two tablespoons of vegetable oil into a pot and place the chopped onions on the bottom.
Step 2
Cut the beef or lamb into 3 cm pieces and place them on the onion pieces. Peel the carrots and cut them into rings.
Step 3
Place the carrots on top of the beef or lamb, peel the tomatoes, and cut them into rings.
Step 4
Place the tomato slices on the carrot slices, then peel the potatoes and cut them into rings. Pour the garlic cloves into the pot.
Step 5
Place the potato pieces on the tomato, heat a pan, and add two tablespoons of vegetable oil. Add tomato paste and sauté for 3 minutes.
Step 6
Add salt, black pepper, turmeric, garlic powder, coriander seed powder, cumin powder, cinnamon powder, paprika powder, and lemon juice to the pan and sauté for another minute.
Step 7
Add half a cup of boiling water to the pan and stir. Pour this sauce into the pot and cover it, then put it on low heat to cook slowly for 2 to 3 hours.
Step 8
After the Tas Kabob is ready, pour them into the dish you want, then serve it with bread or rice.
