Sausage Cutlet Recipe

Step 1

Cut the sausage into small chunks and grind them with a grinder. You can also use a fine grater.

Step 2

Scrub potatoes well and remove any eyes. Then peel and grate them.

Step 3

Peel the onions and grate them. You should drain the juice out of it. Mix the drained onions and potatoes.

Step 4

Add ground sausage to them and mix them with your hand as much as possible.

Step 5

Add turmeric and ground black pepper to the mixture. Then mix the ingredients well to get uniform.

Step 6

Add egg to the mixture. The egg will make the cutlet’s ingredients stick together better and make them tender. Then, add breadcrumbs to the mixture and mix the ingredients well with your hands till they are combined and uniform.

Step 7

Cover the mix with a plastic film and let it sit in the fridge for an hour to infuse it with flavors.

Step 8

Put a suitable pan on low heat and add some oil. Let the oil get hot; this will help the cutlets not stick to the pan and use less oil.

Step 9

Wet your hand and take a little bit of the mixture, about the size of a medium meatball. Shape it into a round or oval shape with your hands. Then flatten it in your hand until it gets about 5 millimeters in thickness. You can also make a hole just like a doughnut so that heat can reach through its center. Then put it in the pan.

Step 10

Fry each side of the sausage cutlet for about 5 minutes on low heat until they are thoroughly cooked inside and crispy outside.

Step 11

Finally, after the sausage cutlets are cooked, put the pieces on a paper towel to dab off the excess oil. Place them in a suitable dish and serve it with bread, some pickles, and tomato. Enjoy your meal!
