Scrub potatoes well and remove any eyes and peel them. Chop them into large chunks.
Place the potatoes in a pot filled with water, add a pinch of salt, and bring the water to a boil. Then reduce the heat and simmer the potatoes uncovered. Potatoes are ready when they are fork tender.
Put the boiled potatoes in a colander and drain the water. Grate the boiled potatoes in a mixing bowl. You can also mash the potatoes with a fork, a masher, or even a potato ricer to get a more uniform texture.
Add the butter to the mashed potatoes and mix until the butter melts in the heat of the mashed potatoes.
Crack the egg into a bowl and beat together until frothy. Then add it to the potatoes.
Add flour, salt, and ground black pepper to the potatoes and stir vigorously and fold your flour into the potatoes to form a smooth dough. The amount of flour depends on the potato starch.
Lightly dust corn starch on a surface and roll out the mashed potato until its thickness is about 1 centimeter.
Cut the mashed potatoes in a round shape and slice them to your desired length. You can shape them in your desired style.
Put a pan on heat and add two tablespoons of oil to coat the bottom of the pan. Then carefully place the potato pancakes into the pan and fry until golden brown. Finally, serve potato pancakes with bread, pickles, and tomatoes. Enjoy your meal.
