Mushroom Stroganoff Recipe
Step 1
Wash and peel the onion and chop it finely. Put a pan on the heat and sauté the chopped onion with some oil until they get caramelized gently.
Step 2
Put the garlic cloves under your knife, and hit the blade’s flat firmly with your hand to smash the garlic. Add the smashed garlic to the pan and sauté it for another minute.
Step 3
Wash the mushrooms and take their thin skin using a sharp knife. Cut them into slices and add them to the pan.
Step 4
Add a dash of lemon juice to them to save your mushrooms’ authentic taste and color. Now fry the mushrooms for about 5 to 7 minutes on medium heat until their liquid evaporates and they are well cooked.
Step 5
At this stage, add flour to the pan and fry it a little until the raw smell of the flour is removed. Then add the broth to the pan in three stages and constantly stir the flour to prevent it from lumping. You can also use water instead of beef broth if you want it vegetarian.
Step 6
After the flour is completely dissolved in the broth, add the chopped parsley along with salt, black pepper, and thyme. Put the lid on the pan and let the sauce thicken, and the mushrooms cook entirely.
Step 7
In the meantime, take the cream out of the refrigerator to adjust it to room temperature. Then, after the sauce thickens enough, add cream and mix it with other ingredients until it reaches a smooth consistency.
Step 8
Turn off the heat after three minutes of stirring. Your mushroom stroganoff is ready now. Serve this delicious dish with mashed potatoes or pasta, or pair it with beef or chicken fillet. Enjoy your meal!
