Stuffed Fish Recipe

Step 1

Wash the fish well. Tip the knife in front of the rear fin, cut it towards the head, and remove the guts under cold water. Then score a three to four diagonal slash on each side of the fish.

Step 2

Mix the softened butter and brewed saffron and brush inside and outside the fish. Let it sit for half an hour at room temperature.

Step 3

Mix the salt, black pepper, Aleppo pepper, garlic powder, fish seasoning, and olive oil in a bowl.

Step 4

After 30 minutes, generously brush the fish with the seasoning mixture.

Step 5

Cover the fish with a plastic film and let it sit in the fridge for two hours. Chilling the mixture will marinate the fish and infuse it with flavor.

Step 6

Wash coriander and fenugreek a couple of times and put them in a colander to drain the excess water. Now transfer them to a tray and chop them finely.

Step 7

Peel and chop the onion, put a pan on the heat, and add two tablespoons of oil. Then sauté the onions in oil over medium heat until they get translucent.

Step 8

Add chopped herbs and turmeric to the pan, and sauté them until the aroma of the spices is released.

Step 9

Add barberry, tamarind water, and grated garlic to the pan and sauté them for a while.

Step 10

Meanwhile, chop the walnuts by rocking the blade of a large knife across the nuts. Then add them along with the pepper flakes, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper to the pan and sauté to remove the rawness of walnuts and spices.

Step 11

Fill inside of the marinated fish with the herbs mixture until it is nicely stuffed. Sew the fish so that the ingredients do not fall out.

Step 12

Preheat the oven to 190 Celsius or 375 Fahrenheit degree.

Step 13

Now coat the bottom of a deep container with oil, lemon slices, and garlic cloves and place the stuffed fish on them.

Step 14

Loosely cover the container with foil. Place it into the preheated oven and bake the fish for an hour. Then remove the foil and grill the fish until it is golden brown. You can garnish it with a little bit of fresh parsley and serve it with lemon juice. Prepare this delicious dish for the holidays and serve it with your friends. Enjoy your meal!
